Have you ever wondered about your imagination?
How easy is it to get lost in a day dream?
Why do you think God give us the ability to dream up stuff?
Hebrews 11:1 "Not faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen" ESV
God calls us to live by faith, to do that we have to see the unseen. How do we do that? By using our imagination .
Galatians 3:11 ". . . The righteous shall live by faith" ESV
Praise God for giving us such a valuable tool! Yet it is often misunderstood or abused. People are admonished when they day dream and called names like "dreamer", but is this not what God wants us to do? To dream about the future?
Proverbs 13:12 "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life" ESV
When we lose hope, we stop dreaming. Life becomes a struggle and keeping your head above water becomes the goal. You no longer enjoy anything and everything becomes a struggle. This is not what God wants for us!
John 10:10 "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly" ESV
God wants us to enjoy an abundant life, so use your imagination, write out the promises of God for your life and ask yourself "what would this look like?" then use your God-given imagination and think about it. Then speak to that dream.
